Sorority Recruitment Blog

As part of a class, I had to create my own blog topic and weekly content. My topic was on sorority recruitment and created a space where future recruitment chairs could find useful information in a chronological order when it comes to planning the big event.

I'm the Recruitment Chair; Now What?

This was my first blog post, focused on just the logistics of first being elected as the recruitment chair of a chapter. With each blog post, I promoted the blog post on my personal Twitter and Pinterest pages. I chose these two platforms based on where I believe my audience would look for the information. By clicking on the pictures, you will be taken to my blog, Twitter and Pinterest.

When it comes to sorority recruitment, the recruitment chair is in charge of planning each round of the recruitment, from the clothes to the decorations and conversations. This blog post was dedicated to the planning of the last round of recruitment. Again, by clicking on each picture, you will be brought to each post.

Editorial Calendar

Before starting my blog, I created an editorial calendar to keep track of the content I was creating. I set up my blog by posting what I focused on when I was the recruitment chair for my sorority. I posted this timeline of planning my keeping each post focused on one aspect of planning.

Twitter Analytics

I kept track of my tweets by using Twitter Analytics, provided by Twitter to its users. By doing so, I was able to see what Tweets were bringing the most attention to my blog posts.
